I Love Independent Bookshops

I love independent bookstores so much that I devoted an entire chapter to the best ones in Pennsylvania, because there's nothing like finding a great indie bookshop during your travels.

Pennsylvania has some magnificent indie bookshops all across the state, and I'm super excited to have a few book signing events coming up at stores featured in the book.

First up — I'll be signing books at Main Point Books in Wayne to mark Independent Bookstore Day on Saturday, April 25, 2026 from 1 to 2 p.m. Come by and grab a signed copy, which makes a perfect Mother's Day, Father's Day, or new grad gift!

Then, I'm heading to Williamsport on Saturday, June 13, 2026 to one of the oldest (possible the oldest) indie bookshop in the country — The Otto Bookstore — for a talk and book signing from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. I'm super excited to SHOP at Otto, because they are currently undergoing a huge expansion to double the size of their bookstore. Come out and say hello and grab a signed copy of Pennsylvania Day Trips!
